Quinnipiac University National Poll shows dead heat in presidential race

News

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) – A new Quinnipiac University National Poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump are in a dead heat just ahead of Monday’s debate.

Clinton takes 44 percent of American likely voters to Trump’s 43 percent.

According to the poll, 55 percent of likely voters say they are “more motivated that usual” to vote. That’s why the first presidential debate is considered crucial in this year’s presidential election.

“The race for President is a virtual tie and millions of likely voters consider the first debate must-see TV. And for those inclined to place a wager on the likely winner, Hillary Clinton is the best bet,” said Tim Malloy, Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.”

Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,115 likely voters nationwide from September 22nd to 25th. For more information, you can click on here.
