Rally against wrongful convictions to be held in New Haven

There is a rally against wrongful convictions in downtown New Haven on Thursday morning.

Organizers say the goal of the rally is to bring attention to the fact that over 700 years of prison sentences were wrongfully issued based on police or prosecutorial misconduct.

The protesters blame the New Haven’s State’s Attorney’s Office and say not one prosecutor was fired, demoted, or reprimanded.

Protesters will gather in front of the court house on Church Street at 10 a.m. on Thursday morning.
