33 additional measles cases in 1 week in Manhattan

The measles is spreading like wildfire in New York.

Manhattan is dealing with 33 more cases since just last week.

Leaders in Rockland County, New York are going to extreme measures, including banning unvaccinated children from going to public places, until the outbreak is over.

Nationwide, at least 378 cases of measles have been reported since October, with at least two here in Connecticut.

Health officials said the outbreak in New York started when an unvaccinated child traveled to Israel and returned with the virus.
