Yogurt company Chobani is donating money to help cover unpaid school lunch debt for students in Warwick, Rhode Island.
Chobani’s CEO announced the company would help out via Twitter earlier Thursday, paying off more than $77,000 worth of school lunch debt.
Previously, Warwick’s school district said students would get cold sandwiches instead of a hot meal if money was owed.
The district reversed its decision on Wednesday after parents angrily reacted to the policy.
In the past, students were served hot lunches, even if they had an outstanding balance.
