Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner who played key role in Sandy Hook tragedy investigation has died

(WTNH) — The former Connecticut Chief Medical Examiner who played a key investigative role in the state’s most high-profile murder cases has died.

Dr. H. Wayne Carver II was 67; he died of natural causes at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown Thursday night.

Carver oversaw the death investigations of the 2012 Sandy Hook tragedy and 1980’s serial killer Michael Ross.
