MGM Springfield to hire hundreds more before August opening

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WTNH) - MGM Springfield is continuing its hiring spree by making hundreds of job offers in the next few weeks.

The entertainment resort in Springfield, Massachusetts says that they will employ 3,000 workers when it opens on August 24th. The hiring team has already made offers to almost 2,000 people.

The company is now asking job seekers to apply for open postilions online in order to be considered for an interview at an upcoming hiring event.

The next hiring event, which is invite only, will be held Monday and Tuesday, June 18th and 19th. While all MGM Springfield departments will be there, recruiters will focus on food and beverage positions such at cooks, kitchen stewards, servers, bar porters, hosts, runners, and pantry and counter workers.

There are also customer service positions available in front services such as attendant, valet attendant & cashier, coat check attendant, and houseperson.
