Report: DCF Commissioner to step down in January

The commissioner of the Department of Children and Families will be stepping down in two months.

According to the Hartford Courant (https://cour.at/2OBHICwJoette Katz made the announcement in an email that went out on Friday.

She is doing this so incoming Governor Ned Lamont can put his own stamp on the agency.

Katz is a former state Supreme Court justice.

She was appointed by current Governor Dannel Malloy back in 2011.
