Report: Haddam town official apologizes for remark made

The Haddam town official at the center of a controversy after she took a knee during the Pledge of Allegiance has reportedly apologized for a remark she made.

Selectman Melissa Schlag took a knee on two separate occasions during Board of Selectman’s meetings to protest the Trump Administration.

She is also heard on video calling the town of Haddam, ‘Fascist and racist’.

According to the Middletown Press (https://bit.ly/2OBFFQ0), she appeared on WNPR on Wednesday and apologized for that remark.
