Santa Claus paid an early visit to Fort Lauderdale to soak up the sun before his big Christmas trip.

Santa then spread holiday cheer by passing out candy canes and other gifts to beachgoers.

Some bakers at a hotel in California started putting it together six weeks ago.
Decorations include everything from cookie sand to sugary palm trees.
It’s estimated some 40 pounds of icing, 40 pounds of graham crackers, and 20 pounds of candies were used to make the sweet confection.
