Sen. Blumenthal to announce $1.8 million federal funding to address New London lead paint hazards

U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal and New London officials are set to announce relating to lead paint concerns at the New London City Hall at 2 p.m. Thursday. 

Officials and Senator Blumenthal is set to announce nearly $2 million dollars in federal funding to address lead paint concerns. 

The $1.8 million dollar U.S. Housing and Urban Development grant will go towards identifying and removing lead-based paint hazards in 75 low-income housing units. 

The announcement will take place that the City Hall Council Chambers in New London at 2 p.m.
