Serious Head-On Collision in Middletown

Middletown, Conn. (WTNH) –  Police in Middletown are investigating after a serious head-on collision that happened early Sunday morning. Investigators say that 38-year-old Reynaldo Ruiz was heading south on Westlake Drive when his Nissan Altima collided with another car. It happened just after 3 o’clock in the morning.

Valeriana Debrito, 53, of Rocky Hill was driving that other car.  Ms. Debrito had no injuries but Mr. Ruiz and his passenger were taken to Hartford Hospital. The passenger, whose name is not being released at this time, suffered serious injuries.

Right now police are asking any witnesses to call them to help them piece this investigation together.
