Route 74 reopens between East Street & Sand Hill Road in Vernon after serious crash


VERNON, Conn. (WTNH) — Route 74 has reopened between East Street and Sand Hill Road after a serious-injury crash Saturday afternoon.

A Tesla and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Route 74 and Kingsbury Avenue, police said.

Police report that Life Star transported one patient, the Tesla driver, to the hospital with serious injuries. The pickup truck driver had non-life-threatening injuries.

A reconstruction team responded to the scene.

The roadway was closed for over two hours, and has since reopened.

This remains an active investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Vernon Police.
