The Milford fire crew responded to a call of a downtown Milford restaurant fire Sunday night. 

According to officials, dispatchers received the call at 8:56 p.m. Sunday night of a fire inside Flames Mediterranean Grill in downtown Milford. 

Firefighters arrived on the scene to see a thick black smoke coming from the restaurant. Crews then forced entry through the front doors and used advanced hose lines to suppress the blaze. 

Although the firefighters were able to gain control of the blaze quickly, the restaurant was heavily damaged by the fire. 

The Milford Fire Marshal‘s division is currently continuing their investigation, including finding the cause of the fire.
