Sewage problem leads to road closures in Ansonia


There are road closures in Ansonia Saturday morning due to a sewage problem

Police say that the northbound lane of Wakelee Avenue at Mary Street and Mary Street are closed to through traffic at this time.  

This is due to a sewage problem on Wakelee Avenue in the area of Mary Street.

Police say the road closures will be in effect until further notice.

The nature of the sewage issue is unclear but police urge drivers to use caution while traveling in these areas.
