Shelton police arrested two suspects who were connected to an assault case that took occurred in early October.
According to police, Shelton officers were dispatched at 1 a.m. on October 12th, 2018 to a report of an unresponsive, bloodied male laying on the sidewalk on 159 Center Street.
The 35-year-old victim was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for his injuries. The victim was released from the hospital after an extended period of treatment.
Officers and Shelton detectives investigated the scene, conducted interviews, and with the help of public’s assistance, identified the two suspects responsible for the assault.
With the assistance of Derby police and Department of Corrections, Shelton officers arrested Kelvin Whitehurst, 31 of Derby, on November 20th. Whitehurst was charged with assault and placed on a $250,000 bond.
The second suspect, Coma Fogle, 37 of Waterbury, turned himself into the police on November 28th. Fogle was charged with assault and placed on a $250,000 bond.
