State Bond Commission Approves $12 Million Project

EAST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)- The Silver Lane and Rentschler Field Corridor in East Hartford will get a $12 million renovation. The State Bond Commission voted to approve a $12 million grant for the redevelopment of that area.

Senator Tim Larson (D) East Hartford, says the project will bring jobs to the area, and thanked Governor Malloy at a meeting in the Legislative Office Building in Hartford today.

“This funding will allow us to develop the necessary infrastructure to support the new development and jobs that will rejuvenate East Hartford and the state as a whole,” said Senator Larson.

 State Representative Jason Rojas (D) East Hartford, says he looks forward to finalizing a master plan for the development opportunity.
