State Department of Education launching ‘Teach Connecticut’

Connecticut is looking to attract more diverse teachers.

On Monday, Governor Dannel Malloy announced that the Connecticut Department of Education is launching Teach Connecticut.

The goal is to attract diverse and talented people into the teaching profession through advertising.

It is the first statewide initiative of its kind in the nation, and Malloy hopes that it will help the state fill vacancies in school.

For Teach Connecticut, the state is partnering with teach.org.
