State gas prices drop just in time for Thanksgiving

Some good news if you’ll traveling next week for Thanksgiving

The price of gas is dropping. The average price in Connecticut is $2.89 per gallon. It was $3.02 in October.

The national average is lower of course. It’s now $2.65. A month ago it was $2.88.

Experts say right now there is a high supply and a lower demand for oil which in the end means more money in your wallet.

“I commute from Stamford to Madison Connecticut so it’s like an hour and a half trip so that’s a lot. So that would be a lot of help for me”, Ellen Lawton of Madison says.

Experts say prices are expected to drop even more next week.
