Students, health advocates push for increase in tobacco sales age to 21

Advocates from across Connecticut gathered at the State House to ask legislators to increase the minimum sale age of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, to 21 on Wednesday. 

Opponents say raising the age would hurt businesses that sell tobacco products. They argue government should not take away someone’s right to choose to smoke.
