‘Stuff a cruiser’ event in Bristol collects toys for kids at CCMC

The Bristol Police Department held a “stuff a cruiser” toy drive on Sunday.

Officers parked right outside of Walmart as shoppers helped fill the cruiser with a number of items.

All of the toys in that police car will now be donated to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

“They reached out to us to try and bring in some more toys because we were running low and we thought what a good idea to bring the police department in and hopefully get some toys for our patients.,” explained Andrea Briatico with the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.

The toys will be handed out to children between the ages of one and seven during their stay at the hospital.
