Tired of the same old fitness routine? Shake things up with Latin Kettle Bell Pound Fusion!

What’s in a name? Everything in this case.

This class fuses all three moves.

Donna DelSole is a fan. “All my numbers are good. I just went for my physical, everything is perfect,” she said.

Getting fit starts with some fiery moves.

“It spices it up, it’s just a lot of fun. It’s a different way to move your hips and get your body into something it normally doesn’t do. Your soul speaks when you dance. I usually mix things up because you want to make exercise fun,” explained Terry DiGiacomo-Galla who came up with this concoction at TAD-G’s Fitness in Ansonia.

“It’s cardio, it’s strength, it’s ab work,” she pointed out.

The strength comes from picking up that kettle bell.

“That’s very important with any type of workout, to build your muscles and get to lean muscle because that’s what actually burns the fat,” Terry said.

“I just try to do the best I can,” said Donna. “Even if I have an ache or pain or something, then I modify.”

Pounding with rip sticks, only a quarter of a pound each, helps get those abs toned.

“It’s all based on drumming so with rip sticks,” said Terry. “And the body drumming and getting to the beat of the music. There’s a lot of twisting and forward and back like little crunches on the floor and stuff to a very upbeat music.”

“It gets your frustration out when you’re pounding,” Donna added.

So, pound away to shape up and get your body moving.
