Connecticut State Police send out tips for parents on social media safety for kids

Kids are on their phones and tablets at all hours of the day and night, and Connecticut State Police are sending out a renewed warning about how to keep them safe on social media

Troopers said it can be done in three simple ways: Communication, research, and control:

  • Always talk to your children about what apps they’re on
  • Download them yourself to see how they work
  • Turn on parental controls on your child’s device.

State police said you should always have the username and password to their accounts.
