Teen shot near Shephard Street in New Haven

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Police are investigating after a shooting Saturday evening that left a teen injured.

The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. in the area of Read Street at Shephard Street.

The 18-year-old male was found with a gunshot wound, according to police. He was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.

This is an ongoing investigation.
