Teachers at a school in Bridgeport received a generous gift on Wednesday in recognition of National Teacher Appreciation Day.

BIC donated 54 boxes of school supplies for students at the Roosevelt School.

The company said 80 children recently visited the Shelton headquarters and helped assemble boxes filled with products.

“At BIC, we understand the importance of supporting our local communities and one of our core values is a commitment to education,” stated BIC’s General Manager, Mary Fox. “The opportunity to give back to the Roosevelt School and our support of programs like these are directly linked to the success we have achieved over the past 60 years.”
