One of the four inmates who overdosed on fentanyl inside the Hartford Correctional Center was pronounced dead on Saturday.

According to the Hartford Courant, officials say four inmates were hospitalized after overdosing on fentanyl. They were found late Thursday night and early Friday morning in the jail.
Officials say the correction staff had given Narcan, a opioid overdose reversal drug, to three of the inmates.
Since the report on Saturday, three have been returned to the jail while it was unclear of the fourth inmate’s condition. On Wednesday, News 8 learned the fourth inmate was pronounced dead on Saturday.
Officials say they are investigating how the drugs made their way into the jail.
