TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) – A Torrington woman is facing charges, accused of running a dog adoption scam.  Police say Suzanne Bristol, 49 of Torrington, was running a website called “Just For Labs Rescue” out of her Torrington home.  Police say during the last four months of last year, Bristol was posting photos of dogs that were supposedly up for adoption.  Police say people in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Jersey sent her money to adopt a dog.

Police say she had lifted the photos from other adoption websites in other states.  They say no one ever received a dog, and she never refunded any money.

Bristol is charged with Third Degree Larceny.
