Police investigation of death of teen in Thomaston closes Route 254


THOMASTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Thomaston police confirmed Monday they are investigating the death of a teen. That investigation closed down part of Route 254 for several hours Monday morning.

Police say, at approximately 11 p.m. Sunday an unresponsive 17-year-old male was found in the travel portion of the roadway near 381 South Main Street.

First responders transported the teen to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later succumbed to those injuries.

Police say no foul play is suspected. They are investigating the case.

DOT officials say Route 254 at Route 6 was closed early Monday morning due to “police activity.” The area reopened around 10 a.m.
