Two Bloomfield men arrested for growing nearly 200 marijuana plants


Bloomfield police arrested two men for growing marijuana in a home on Wednesday morning.

Police say Chanh Nguyen, 46 and Tuan Huynh, 47 were arrested for being involved in a marijuana growing operation in a house situated on 3.5 acres of land. Bloomfield Police said the Detective Division worked with Federal DEA agents and Eversource in this investigation.

Officials executed a search warrant on the home and the premises were secured without any incidents.

Police siezed:
•Approximately 200 marijuana plants
•At least 15 lbs of dried marijuana
•Drug paraphernalia associated with the plant growing operation
•$12,000 US Currency

Both received multiple charges including Drug Possession, Operating a Drug Factory and First Degree Larceny.
