UConn Health collaborating with Duke to help cancer patients

(WTNH)–It’s a pairing of schools that would be unlikely on the basketball court, but great news for those dealing with brian tumors in Connecticut.

UConn Health is teaming up with Duke University to bring what it calls the most advanced cancer care available for patients in the state. The colaboration will give Connecticut patients access to very specialized brain tumor treatments available at Duke.

Duke owns the world-renowned Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, located in Durham, North Carolina.

The UConn Health Division of Neurosurgery is collaborating with Duke’s PRTBTC for the co-management of UConn Health’s brain tumor patients.
