Sundae made at Connecticut’s Ashley’s Ice Cream makes Forbes list

Unusual Stories

A sweet treat made locally in Connecticut has made Forbes‘ list of sundaes you’ll want to try this summer!

Forbes released their list of “12 Over-The-Top Sundaes You’ll Want To Try This Summer Across The Country” and coming in at number 12 is an ice cream sundae you just might recognize.

It’s called the Downside Watson and you can find it at the Ashley’s Ice Cream shops in New Haven, Hamden, Guilford, Branford and Madison!

To commemorate their 40th anniversary this month, Ashley’s is serving seven scoops of this homemade ice cream on two split bananas, all on top of a Frisbee. And if that’s not enough, you can add up to nine toppings of your choosing!

Coming in at the top of the list is something else you can find in Connecticut, Ben & Jerry’s “The Vermonster.”

This massive sundae is sold at their scoop shops across the country, including their locations in Canton, Glastonbury, New Haven, Old Saybrook, South Windsor, Uncasville and West Hartford
