Vehicle fire on Route 31 in Tolland, missing driver


Police confirmed a car on fire caused the closure of Route 31 in Tolland late Thursday night. 

Initial reports came in from @TollandAlert on Twitter: 

According to the Tolland police, officers are still on scene investigating the incident and cannot find the driver of the car. No injuries were reported. 

Mile Hill Road and Reed Road on Route 31 were closed as officials put out the fire.

One lane is now open and officials are still on scene. 

Officials confirm the scene has been cleared.
