A vote on the proposal of a Civilian Review Board has been delayed until January to discuss more on the issues.
According to the New Haven Register, a vote on the proposal has been delayed.
That board would be made up of a group of community members whose mission would be to oversee the actions of the police department.
The idea has gotten some pushback. Some are concerned of the influence the police union could have over the board.
The vote has been rescheduled to January 7th, so city leaders have time to discuss some of the key issues.
