Waterbury man sentenced to life for double homicide


Waterbury man who killed his girlfriend and her 9-year-old daughter has been sentenced to life in prison. 

Twenty-nine year old Anthony Rutherford was sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to two counts of murder. 

Twenty-nine year old Chaq-Uinequea Brodie and her daughter Myjae-Aha Richardson died in an August 2017 shooting at their apartment.

Before she died, Brodie helped to establish a group that educates people on dating and domestic violence.
