Watertown cracking down on drug activity


WATERTOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — In response to complaints from the public, Watertown police have engaged in several investigations to combat the sale and use of drugs and narcotics in parks and other areas in town.

On Thursday, detectives observed drug activity taking place in a parking lot between two different vehicles. Upon approaching the vehicles, investigators found that two occupants, Kamraan Iqbal and Ryan Milo, both of Watertown, were both in possession of marijuana. The total weight of the marijuana was under a half ounce. Iqbal was also in possession of a small amount of marijuana butter, or marijuana wax.

Police are not releasing the specific location of this bust.

Both Iqbal and Milo were charged with the possession of marijuana under a half ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both parties were released on complaint tickets.
