NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) — Getting married is one of the happiest yet most stressful times of our lives. Whether you’re getting ready to walk down the aisle, or just starting to plan your wedding, a few hacks can help make your big day as worry-free as possible.
“It’s important to have some tips and tricks up your sleeve just so you can better plan and feel even more calm about the entire process,” said Kallie Branciforte, the lifestyle blogger behind ButFirstCoffeeBlog.com.
She got married last year and knows a thing or two about planning a wedding. Her first wedding hack is to create a wedding only email address.
“In this day and age, all of your vendors are going to be sending you everything via email, from contracts to price lists to invites, so it’s nice to have everything in one email address so you can keep it all in one place,” Branciforte explained.
She also recommends going high tech with your RSVPs and using a service like AnRSVP.com.
“On your RSVP for your wedding invite, they get their own little unique link,” Branciforte explained. “You get all the information in your email and everything’s all in one place and you don’t have to worry about all these tiny envelopes.”
Speaking of envelopes, a simple trick to unseal one is to put it in the freezer for 15 minutes.
“And you can pop it right open,” Branciforte demonstrated.
When it comes to your registry, consider going the untraditional route and using a website like Zola.com.
They have all the homeware basics, but also offer something else.
“You can register for vacations, you can register for cooking classes, for dinners out, for your honeymoon,” Branciforte explained. “It’s a little bit more about experiences that you and your husband can do together as opposed to stuff.”
As for your drink of choice, Branciforte says steer clear of red wine.
“You are likely to stain your teeth not to mention if you spill red wine it can be disastrous,” she said.
Instead, reach for the bubbly.
“The bubbles actually act as a mild exfoliant and they can keep your teeth looking even whiter,” Branciforte explained.
