West Hartford police received a call regarding a two-car accident with one car partially flipped over in West Hartford on Wednesday morning.
West Hartford Police and Fire units arrived at the intersection of Simsbury Road and Mohegan Drive to find a car partically resting on top of the other car’s hood.
Police investigation revealed that the Mercedes driver had pulled out from Mohegan Dr. and intended to turn left onto Simsbury Rd. and did not see the oncoming Ford. The Mercedes ended up parcially on top of the Ford’s hood.
Both cars were towed from the scene due to damage sustained in the collision.
The Mercedes operator was issued an infraction for failure to Obey a Stop Sign. The Ford operator sustained injureds due to the collision and was transported by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital.
The Mercedes operator did not report any injuries to officials but did later go to St. Francis due to neck pain and a headache.
