Three siblings from Weston are helping make a big difference in the lives of other children.
This year marks the fifth year in a row they’ve organized the toy drive.
They delivered those toys to the hospital on Monday.
“Our son actually had life-threatening surgery at 8-months-old, and he was diagnosed with hydrocephalus caused by a tumor and after that we wanted a way to give back to Yale and to teach our children how to give back,” explained mother Jennifer Bernheim.
The Bernheim family has helped collect 1,500 toys over the last five years.
News 8’s own Ann Nyberg founded the Toy Closet at Yale New Haven Hospital in 1993.
