Giving back is the goal of 4th graders and their teacher at the Barnard Environmental Studies Magnet School.
They enthusiastically embarked on Operation: Give Back.
There’s a lot of ways they’ve been working on changing the world.
The students have been collecting redeemable bottles to help the planet and its animals.

That’s not all. They also make care packages for the homeless. They keep those packages in the car while driving with their parents. That way, if they see a homeless person while in the car, they can stop and give a package to them.
They also included handwritten notes, plus, a mountain of donated clothes.
This gives them the opportunity to realize how it feels to truly make a difference.
