The woman hurt during the officer-involved shooting in New Haven last week has been released from the hospital.

News 8’s Mario Boone reports that 22-year-old Stephanie Washington has been released.

According to officials, Hamden Police Officer Devin Eaton pulled up to a vehicle in New Haven believed to be connected to an armed robbery back in Hamden.

Ofc. Eaton was assisted by Yale Police Officer Terrance Pollock, and the two made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, 21-year-old Paul Witherspoon III and Washington.

During this time, shots were fired by police and Washington was struck by gunfire.

Connecticut State Police are investigating the incident.

The two officers are currently on paid leave.
