WTNH Meteorologist arrested on child pornography charges

HAMDEN, Conn. (WTNH) — We need to tell you about a story involving a WTNH employee.

Connecticut State Police arrested Meteorologist Justin Goldstein Wednesday on charges of possession of child pornography and promoting a minor in an obscene performance. Goldstein was arrested this afternoon, after detectives executed a search warrant at his Hamden home.

Goldstein has posted a $200,000 bond. He is due in court on July 26th, according to Connecticut State Police.

Mark Higgins, President and General Manager of WTNH-TV, issued the following statement Wednesday afternoon.

We are deeply concerned by the allegations. Until the matter is resolved, Justin Goldstein is suspended from his duties at WTNH.”
