Your tips to avoid Cyber Monday scams


Cyber Monday is right around the corner and experts want to take a minute to warn how online holiday shopping is also prime time for crooks.

Advice for consumers – be extra careful shopping on a mobile browser. 

Scammers can create fake websites that may look legit.

Also watch out for fake apps that can steal your personal information.

You should also avoid clicking on any unsolicited e-mails because that could be phishing.

Finally, make sure to use a website with a valid “h-t-t-p-s” connection and a lock symbol.
