Looking for weekend fun?  We have eight suggestions for fun things to do!

Dancing With The Stars sensation Derek Hough will be performing Saturday at Mohegan Sun – electrifying the crowd with his moves!

It’s opening weekend for Pantochino’s new musical The Waffle House Five – a funny story set in an Alabama restaurant – at the Milford Arts Council.

At Norwich Free Academy – see a student production of Urinetown, a musical tackling the serious topic of a water shortage in a futuristic society.

Get exercise at the MahoneySabol 5K, benefitting the Hospital for Special Care, happening at the TPC River Highlands, home of the Travelers Championship.

Saturday, enjoy a day of fun at the Klingberg Family Centers, honoring Sandy Hook victim Ana Grace Marquez Green.  It’s a celebration of her life.

On Saturday, bring the kids to volunteer at the Housatonic River Clean-Up event in Shelton.  Folks will also be sprucing-up and area in Stratford.

Celebrate Earth Day on Saturday at Hamden Middle School featuring a free event with music, exhibitors and even a scavenger hunt.

Enjoy Woofstock at Crystal Bees on Saturday.  It’s a night of music and bowling to support pets in need – courtesy of Bikers Against Animal Cruelty.
