NEW HAVEN Conn. (WTNH) — The holiday’s are here and that means going to and hosting more parties. So what better way to get into the holiday spirit than by creating a beverage bar that let’s you enjoy your party more.

Connecticut In Style blogger, Sarah O’Brien stopped by our station to give us some beverage bar ideas for your next holiday party.

O’Brien says for her mimosa bar, she used splits of delicious Lunetta Prosecco, tangerine and other assorted juices, four different flavors of sorbet, and fresh fruits. To make, place one scoop of sorbet into a glass, top with icy cold prosecco and garnish with fruit. Sarah made a mimosa with blood orange sorbet and blueberries added in it.

Tips to making the perfect mimosa for the holidays:

  1. Chill all the Prosecco and pack the sorbet in ice to keep it cold. Even after a few hours, the sorbet was semi-frozen, which is the ideal scooping consistency.
  2. Have plenty of glasses on hand, they can be traditional champagne glasses or gimlets.
  3. Always serve a non-alcoholic alternative, like sparkling water.
  4. Don’t forget to add some cute bar napkins and a container to place the ice cream scoops.
