Capitol Report: Lamont sticking by toll plan, Blumenthal looking to block Whitaker

Last Monday, Governor-Elect Ned Lamont told reporters that he is sticking by his plan to put in tolls and only charge tractor trailer trucks.

He said it will bring in about a quarter billion in annual revenue for the state.

Meanwhile, Senator Richard Blumenthal and two of his Senate pals are suing to block the appointment of acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker.

The suit claims the move is unconstitutional because Whitaker has not been confirmed.

Senator Blumenthal said the suit aims to protect the probe being led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
