Exactly 5 months ago, Ned Lamont made a promise to deliver a balanced budget on-time. Mission accomplished.

The Legislative Session wrapped up last Wednesday at midnight. Nearly all Democrats backed
The 2-year, 43 billion dollar deal and pushed it over the finish line the day before the session ended.

A little issue called ‘tolls’ will still need to be hammered out this summer.

Republicans, however, aren’t jumping for joy over this budget.

Republicans cited a laundry list of programs getting big chunks of state aid under the budget.

When asked about it, Deputy Minority Leader Vin Candelora said the budget had “More rats than a New York City sewer”.
