EASTON, Conn. (WTNH) — From the beautiful countryside to the sparkling coast, the Nutmeg State has a plethora of pretty spots to visit.

That’s why Michelle Falcone created a unique tour company called Celebrate Connecticut.

“A daytrip can give you the same feeling as a vacation,” said this Easton mom of four.  Folks can book custom excursions or register online for pre-planned outings.

“We did a Sacred Sites Tour and went to the Abby of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem and the Abby has the most gorgeous creche in a beautiful historic barn,” said Falcone who also discovered a favorite day trip in an unexpected place – her hometown of Easton. “We rented a nice luxury shuttle…went to cool barns and farms.  Most of the people who lived here for 30-40 years couldn’t believe how much they learned.”

Here’s a tip, Falcone says most folks don’t know you can request a private guide at destinations such as the Knights of Columbus Museum and the Florence Griswold Museum. That personal connection can make an outing all the more worthwhile.

“I get a lot of email from people who want ideas for what to do.  Maybe they have family visiting from out of state and they’d like to spend the day doing something fun,” said Falcone, who aims to uncover Connecticut’s hidden gems and inspire families to explore and learn together.  “It’s all about celebrating and enjoying what’s right in your backyard and there’s so much.”

Falcone will launch an Art Lovers tour this spring.
