(WTNH)– We are prepping today’s 8-minute meal with Chef Ed Armstrong and Culinary Student Donique Douglas.

They are showing us how to make a delectable pastry danish in the video above.

Below is the recipe:

Roll and Folding of the Danish Dough

1. Roll dough out to a rectangle ¼ inch thick

2. Pound out cold European Butter to half the size of the dough

Place butter half the dough and fold the dough over it

Seal the edges

3. BOOK FOLD THE BUTTER FILLED DOUGH

= 8 layers

ROLL BACK OUT TO ¼ INCH THICK

4. TRI FOLD & CHILL

= 24 layers

ROLL BACK OUT TO ¼ INCH THICK

5. TRI FOLD & CHILL

= 72 layers

6. ROLL TO ¼”

7. CUT – SHAPE / FILL OR COAT

8. EGG WASH FOR COLOR AND SHINE
