We are prepping today’s 8 minute meal in the kitchen. Parents, this one is for you and the kids.

You probably recognize Caryn Antonini, a language expert and CEO of Early Lingo.

Today, she is showing us a recipe that can help the kids learn kitchen skills early-on.

Below is the recipe for Pesto Pasta:

  • 1 bunch basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2/3 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon softened quality butter

In a food processor, combine basil leaves, olive oil, pine nuts and salt. Blend until combined. Add the cheeses and butter and process until well blended. Additional olive oil may be added as necessary. Serve with pasta, use on salads and sandwiches. Freezes well.
