For Today’s 8 Minute meal we put a unique spin on a classic Memorial Day dish.
Chef Dave Foster came to Good Morning Connecticut at 9 to prepare Seaweed Coleslaw.
The recipe is below:
Prep time 30 minutes
Better to be made the day before
1 medium head of cabbage grated
3 peeled carrots grated
2 cups (approximate) mayonnaise
1 cup cider vinegar
1 cup sugar
¹/⁴ cup soy sauce
2 cups Seaweed salad
¹/⁴ cup sesame oil
S&P to taste
Optional: Toasted sesame seeds
Mix everything but the seaweed salad in a large bowl. Using a gloved hand, massage and mix until thoroughly incorporated. Add the seaweed salad and gently fold it together. Out into a decorative bowl and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
