One Connecticut woman’s story is helping other’s find strength in the darkest of circumstances.

Nathalie Jacob of Westport was shocked when she learned she needed invasive brain surgery for a brain tumor. She felt confident the surgery would go well. But when Nathalie woke up, she was partially blind, couldn’t read or write, and the only number she recognized was eight.

As she had to relearn simple tasks, she saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and she was inspired to write the book “8: Rediscovering Life After A Brain Tumor.”
